Thrifting for spring

This weekend we visited the parents of my husband. I used the time provided by eager baby-sitters visiting the charity shop and flea market and knitting. You can see the spring time lurking into the colour scheme. Red turns into orange and yellow and my all time favourite green makes its' presence more visible. Even though my mind is occupied with the shades of green and what seeds to sow this spring ( triggered by the seed catalogs mail brought this week), I'm eagerly waiting for snow. We haven't had a change to build anything from it yet and we are hopelessly short on sledging this winter.

Ensivisiitillä.
Voi mitä herkkuvärejä, energiaa konsanaan.

Aiemmasta postauksestasi huomasi tyttäresi(?) saaneensa nimekseen Elsi.

Elsi on vanhemman tyttäremme nimi.

Such lovely greens and the fabrics are so pretty! You did well yourself! How lucky to have flea markets this time of year in Finland. There aren't really much of any in Norway at the moment - those also come in the spring. I have forced some leaves out on our kitchen table and that feels very springlike!

Melissa, I hope you'll find good places for thrifting. Visiting second-hand shops in a new country doubles the fun.

Ravenhill, most of the flea markets here in winter are held indoors in places like old industrial buildings. Every little city has also the kind of flea markets where you can rent a table and leave your stuff there for a week, do you have a name for them in English?

Iiriskukka, kerro sitten mitä löytyi. Itse olin erityisen tyytyväinen löytämiini vetoketjuihin, olisi itse asiassa pitänyt ostaa niitä useampikin.
