I hate vole/ Myyrävihaa

I try to see this, because

A water vole decided to chop some wood

and a Field vole has been here for a visit.

The reality in our garden after the winter is not very encouraging. Last winter was a winter of all sorts of vole and mice. They've had a quite a feast in our yard. Well I'll have my own feast for my eyes with this magazine. Today we had one more time snow, North wind and freezing temperatures, so the best I can do, is just dream about gardening.

Talven jäljiltä pihamme ei ole kovin rohkaisevassa kunnossa. Mennyt talvi oli myyrien ja hiirien juhlaa. Juhla-aterioita on nautittu runsaasti eri puolilla puutarhaa. Lievitän todellisuutta syventymällä tähän perin kauniiseen puutarhalehteen. Se olkoon minun esteettinen puutarhajuhlani tänään, kun ikkunan toisella puolella on kerros lunta, pohjoistuuli puhaltaa ja lämpötila on pakkasella.

Something not so light, but definitely warm for me and my cold hands and something for the bunny living in our house. The fingerless mittens took about three days and the cap three minutes.

Ei niin kevyttä, mutta ainakin ranteisiin saakka lämmintä minulle ja kevään kevyttä perheemme jänikselle. Ranteenlämmittimiin meni ehkä kolme päivää, pipoon noin kolme minuuttia.

The Spring Fairy Party/Kevätkeijukemut

The Spring Fairy Party on Wednesday was an intense hour and a half. The dresses I made for the little visitors were appreciated and the cake got some oohs and wows. I'm happy about the party and so is my five-year-old.

Keskiviikon kevätkeijukemut olivat intensiivinen puolitoistatuntinen. Keijumekot, mitkä tein otettiin ilolla vastaan ja kakku sai kehuja. Juhlat siis onnistuivat: äiti on onnellinen ja niin on myös viisivuotias.
