Festivities/ Juhlintaa

For the past two days we have been celebrating our daughter's fifth birthday. Friday was an easy one -just candy brought to the day-care, but yesterday we had three sets of guests. So the whole day just flew by. First lots of cleaning and baking followed with happy smiles, kids playing and finally switching off all the lights in order to join the earth hour. The toughest part is still ahead, the kids spring fairy party on Wednesday.

Today I've been taking lots of me-time: Planning projects, I really don't have time for. Taking a nap with the younger one. Refusing to go out with the kids ( I know, bad mum) and now blogging. All this me-time was made possible by my husband of seven years. This seventh year anniversary we were happy to have this week.

Tänään olen ottanut omaa aikaa sitten urakalla takaisin.

A bit of me time is just what I need, and my crochet tutorial day is just the thing. No childre, no phones, no cleaning, just wool, hook and good company. Happy birthday to your daughter and Happy anniversary to you both. I love the idea of switching off the lights for the earth hour, although I don't quite understand what it means. Enjoy the week and my bracelet is much admired. Dev X

Samantha: Birthdays are at the same time something I enjoy arranging and something to stress about. But yes, finally it's time to relax.

Julie: Thank you! I got enough me-time to get me through this busy week.

Bohemian girl: Thank you! My daughter has greatly enjoyed all the extra attention that comes with having birthday.

Dev: I hope the earth hour really made some difference. For one thing I'm sure some me-time crocheting makes all the difference.

Heidi: Kiitokset onnitteluista!

Emily: It really is a blessing to have a husband who understands that being happy and creative means a need for time alone.

Niina: Palkintokaapissa onkin paljon tilaa. Tämä ilahdutti kovin. Kiitokset!
