Crafting again/ Takaisin käsitöiden pariin

Rainy days gives some extra time for crafts long forgotten. The inspiring Japanese blog Mairuru if filled with the loveliest sewing projects and tutorials. Mai just introduced the art of making sarubobo, and I had to try it out right away. It was really easy and fun and it made me play. Go check her blog and try making your own.

Sadepäivät antavat aikaa käsitöille, jotka kevätkiireet ovat saaneet lepotilaan. Japanilainen innostava käsityöblogi Mairuru on täynnään hauskoja ompeluprojekteja ja ohjeita. Mai kertoi juuri, kuinka tehdään saruboboja. Tätä piti heti kokeilla ja se olikin helppoa ja hauskaa, kokeile vaikka itse.

Anteeksi ylimääräinen päivitys tähän postauksen, mutta täysin asian vierestä ollut otsikko piti vaihtaa.

I also finished the Noro stripe socks, which I started some time last winter. They were meant as a gift so they look a bit loose on my feet. My knitting has tightened somehow, because there is a clear difference in size. I hope the lovely yarn hides the faults.

Myös kauan sitten aloitettut Noro-sukat ovat vihdoin valmiit. Ovat lahjukset, joten omaan jalkaani hieman isot. Kummasti käsiala on myös muuttunut matkan varrella, koska samoilla puikoilla ja silmukkamäärillä sukkiin tuli huomattava kokoero. No, ehkä ihana lanka peittää mokat alleen.
