The mad hatter/ Hassu hatuntekijä

Rouskupipo
Pattern: my own
Yarn: Sublime cashmere merino silk dk
Needle: Addi bamboo 4mm

It seems that I'm constantly making beanies and hats - when not buying them. The others have noticed this as well: The kindergarten teacher asked a while ago, that who is the hat freak in our house, because the girls are always wearing headgear that sets them apart. Well, that's me of course, but it's so nice to have my girls co-operate in this thing. However, they seem to have their absolute favorites and for the most part they can decide for themselves what to wear. The beanie I knitted this weekend won't be one of those lucky favorites, I'm afraid. The older one refused to wear it altogether, and the younger one was not that eager either. Today she wore it finally that long that I was able to photograph it. But because I simply love this Merino- Cashmere-Silk blend from Sublime yarns, I've started a beanie for myself, but I'll ditch the knob on top of it.

Mitätahansa he eivät kuitenkaan suostu päähänsä laittamaan ja yleensä saavatkin itse valita päähineensä suosikkejensa joukosta. No, minä kuitenkin rakastan tätä Sublimen cashemere-merino-silkki-sekoitelankaa siinä määrin, että aloitin langanlopuilla itselleni pipon. Lupaan kyllä jättää pipon huipulta tuon lisäkkeen pois. Rouskupipon laitoin nimeksi, koska itselleni sekä pipon värit, että päälaen uloke tuovat mieleen erinäiset rouskut -siis sienisellaiset.

I saw your site from tiny happy. Lovely colours and knitting. You have very interesting photos...minimal but emotive. Your crafts are also inspirational, making me want to become more creative, also when I saw the lovely simple design of the marimeko fabric you sent Melissa.

Well done on this beautiful hat! The colors are so soft and beautiful but still young and full of fun! I am impressed with your design.

Kauniin värisiä tekeleitä.

Mullakin on nyt pari pipoa tässä meneillään. Tuloksia omassa blogissa ehkä piankin.

The child and the hat - both are adorable.

Onneksi kaupastakin saa ihan kivoja pipoja... Huivin sentään osaan tehdä itse.
Mukavaa loppuviikkoa!

I love the hat and I love your blog!
I have to learn how to knit before my girls are teenagers and refuse to wear things that I make them!

So your kids are also refusing things that you make for them with love and care, just like my son. Glad I am not the only one who has this trouble since their very early age, he hasn't reached two and look at him, he screams his head off when I want to put on him something new. Well, only sometimes.

Julie: It's so nice you found your way here and thank you for your lovely comment on my work.

Ravenhill:Yes, I'm all for these colors. I had fun making this hat, because I didn't plan it beforehand. I just got the ideas while knitting it.

Mary-Laure: Thank you!

Katilein: Haaparousku varmaankin. leppärousku olisi kyllä suosikki, mutta tästä jäi oranssi pois.Itseasiassa nuorempi ottikin pipon lopulta omakseen ja pipo on päässyt vakiokalustoon. Oletko kokeillut tehdä pipoa suoraan jostain ohjeesta? suurinosa kavennuksista lopulta helppoja kaksioikeinyhteen versioita.

Newnewkitty: Oh welcome! I'm really happy to gain a new reader. I hope to be able to provide something worth reading.

Alexis:Thank you! Go go and get yourself into knitting, it's so much fun and you can do it anywhere and anytime unlike sewing, which is nice too.

Bohemian girl: I have to disappoint you in this one: the hat is now the new favorite of my younger daughter. Well, the four year-old still has no warm feelings for this hat. I guess your son knows exactly what he likes and that's a great ability for a child in his age, but I can truly understand, that it can really be frustrating for you.
