Finally January is starting to look like the heart of winter which it should be. A bit of snow, sunshine, footprints of a rabbit on fresh snow, shoveling, sledging, light and white. More of these, please.
Inside the house the orange hues of fireplace, sweet potatoes, tulips and finally finished woolen socks. The balance of winter time has returned.

Your handknit orange socks are just the bright color we need so much this time of year! That is my Sebastian's favorite color at the moment too. I am happy for you that snow has come to Finland! We got a light dusting yesterday too.
I forgot to say: Yes, please come to Oslo to shop AND visit with me!
Kuinka kauniita kuvia!
Meillä ei edelleenkään ole lunta. Nyt sataa vettä. Siis täällä Helsingissä. Arvaa harmittaako?
Beautiful photos!
We still don't have any snow here in Helsinki. It's raining water. Puuh! Sad. This is not a proper winter!
Puolisokea tyhmyri täällä kysyy että mitä nuo juurekset ovat kuvassa?
Ravenhill: I think you are seriously heading spring at your altitude, but snow makes the waiting easier, we 've got a couple of months to go still. A trip to Oslo would be so much fun!
Niina:Kiitokset! Kyllä sitä lunta toivoisi teille Helsinkiinkin
Violet: Juurekset ovat bataattia. Suolaa, yrttejä ja vähän öljyä sitten uuniin ja nam!
Uunibataatit! Olenkin ihan unohtanut.
Hyvä fiilis kuvissasi!
Your orange-themed pictures make a beautiful and cosy ensemble. Tulips have been my favorites since I was a little girl, to I especially love that shot.
Thanks for writing in English, it allows me to have a glimpse into a Finnish lifestyle...
Liivia: Kiitokset! Jokos on uunibataatit paistumassa?
Mary-Laure: Thank you for your lovely comment! It's nice to know that there are foreign readers to my blog, it justifies me operating with a foreign language.
